   If you hunt over gravel, sand, or rough ground, you might over time damage or even wear holes on the bottom of your search coil. An expensive camera lens is usually protected by a filter. IMHO the same premise should apply to your search coil. . .

   I have a Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300. It comes stock with an 8 inch coil and so I ordered a cover for it. The cover from Bounty Hunter would not fit my coil. The cover’s spokes were too small to fit over the spokes on my cover. The company on Amazon I bought it from did figure out the problem after I sent them a digital photo of the cover and my coil side-by-side. Seems that Bounty Hunter makes more than one version of the 8 inch coil. Why in God’s name for, I don’t know, but they do. The cover needed to fit my model detector is the same as the Titan series of Bounty Hunter. Thanks to Blaze Williams of Kelly Co Detectors for the time and effort to get this straight for me.
